"Fairlie-Poplar" pays homage to the lively and artsy Historic District of Fairlie-Poplar, located in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s a community that is near and dear to Michelle’s heart, as its historic venues make room for, and support artists of all kinds.
This piece is a textured collage on artist panel, done shades of gray, black and white, accented with a single streak of vibrant red. It was created with the use of article clippings, graphite, fabric, pastel and acrylic paint.
Please note that all artist panels must hang inside of a picture frame; they cannot hang independent of a frame - in either an open frame or closed . If an open frame is used, such as plein air, it is recommended that accompanying mat be discarded. If framed inside a closed glass frame, the accompanying mat board offers lovely surround.
If painting is sold unframed (leaving choice of framing to purchaser), it will ship inside an archival mat and backerboard.
