My motivation for this painting:
"Come On In," featuring a color palette of orange, brown, teal, and gold, draws its motivation from the invitation to explore, connect, and embrace new experiences. This painting seeks to evoke a sense of warmth, curiosity, and the comfort that comes from opening oneself up to the unknown. The choice of colors has the following symbolic significance:
- Orange represents enthusiasm, energy, and the welcoming of fresh opportunities.
- Brown signifies grounding, stability, and a sense of security.
- Teal embodies communication, tranquility, and the depth of human connection.
- Gold symbolizes value, illumination, and the richness of shared experiences.
"Come On In" is an explicit call to engage, to step beyond the threshold of comfort and embrace what lies ahead. It encapsulates the idea of extending hospitality not only in a physical space but also in the realm of emotions and connections, evoking feelings of curiosity, openness, and a sense of anticipation for what's to come. My hope is that "Come On In" will serve as a visual representation of the enriching experiences that come from welcoming new perspectives and connections.
